Gin Mare Mediterranean is produced in a distillery located in an 18th century chapel in an old fishing village between the Costa Brava and the Costa Dorada. This gin is made using traditional production techniques, starting with a gentle maceration and distillation process of each of the four selected botanicals: thyme from Turkey, basil from Italy, rosemary from Greece and Arbequina olives from Spain. It is this particular variety of olive - the main ingredient - that offers real aromatic concentration: 7 kilos are needed to obtain one litre, and it should be noted that its acidity levels change every year. This means that each distillation is different and unique.
Gin Mare Mediterranean has a fine nose, in which hints of cardamom and coriander blend harmoniously with almonds, liquorice, white flowers, sage and citrus fruits. The palate is firm and lively, with notes of pepper, liquorice, cumin, apricot kernel, spices, almonds and lemon. The finish is sweet and balanced, with green olive playing the leading role, followed closely by cardamom, coriander, clove and orange, with an aftertaste of juniper, cucumber and cut hay.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
